Once they were all around us
Touching those they never knew
In the prime of life, its dramas
Careers of emotion, of values
Cultural envoys then reflecting
Elicitors of tears, sorrow and joy
Comforting the frailties of living
And interrupting the blandness
But time has gone on unrelenting
And taken their souls unsettled
Still their voices, their images stay
They live on beyond them e'er so
A realization final overtakes us
That unfolded shows itself too
Reconciling these years accrued
To know its value, conceive its cost
Knowing the loss of our mentors
Valuing their efforts given freely
Learned late in life, a measure
For every precious pricelessness
