As I look into the eyes of the desert mountains
I am drawn as if to touch their grace
Their fostering love has kept my spirit
Their desolence once known vanishes
Revealing the life and beauty bounding
As if to hold on and on
They meet the road for one last embrace
Before we must part
For I dearly love them
Their majesty, their inspirations
Oh barren desolation leave me not
I fear that shall not be
Goodbye oh wonderous beauty
I'll forget you not
