They were here only yesterday
But eternity crept in quick
And stole them away unpaid
A bounty to fill the gaping loss
All thoughts of good or bad
Have all fall into the maelstrom
That draws life and life to it
And spares none overdue age
Their efforts and toils silenced
Finished worthy or not given so
Their absence seeping emptiness
That trickles with the tears
Inner questions, inner rage
All illusions interred with them
Ideals conflicts remain ready
Until it's culling call comes again
