No one cares anymore
Those lies of the media
The poor paper politicians
Democracy is so crestfallen
None but the sad and stupid
Believe the redirect recently given
And follow false press prophets
That lead them astray so easily
No one could possibly acclaim
Nor accomplish anything grand
With constant banter clucking
The media's colourful parrots
Always talking, never knowing
Always prospecting, never living
Ever fault finding, never doing
Ever evil, and never benevolent
Now but clowns in a grand circus
The greatest show on earth
Yet no one cares to see its show
For daily life is drama enough
A circus splendid, spectacular
Vanishing in but an instant
By no more than switching off
Or changing its droning channel
The chief executive now lost
Replaced by a mogul buffoon
Puppets on strings controlled
Dancing their jaunty jovial jigs
Perhaps to dwell and work in tents
It would be more apt an abode
A circus tends to commonly keep
To accommodate the jesters naïve
So many to cram into a tiny car
Yet not a drop of self respect within
Colourful scenes to dazzle fools
And a fool's role to nimbly distract
What will they do if no one comes
The seats empty, no ticket sales
Then interests will go elsewhere
No revenues, no crowd, no show
