It stinks & it's loud & also hectic
& so comically electric
That is what I don't like about the city
I hear out of a car fat basses
They get (me) full in the face
& it's clear to me, that today's not going to be today
Standing right under the linden tree
(I) want to leave, when they finally let me
I feel how my blood pressure rises
I'm stressed out, stuck in a traffic jam
Then I suddenly see this woman
& I can't believe it
Because her eyes have shown me
There is sun-sun-sun sun in Berlin
I look briefly in her face
& believe, she doesn't notice me
She looks up, I put myself in the no waiting zone
I swim through the crowds
(I) can't touch them
I'm being shoved & naturally the lights stay red
I see the paleness of a traffic warden
But sadly I have no interest
she thinks, she controls the traffic here
I'm only looking for such a woman
That will turn the sky suddenly grey
& wet the streets for me here
& there is rain-rain-rain rain in Berlin
& now something happened that nobody believed (in Schonefeld)
I actually drive everyday into the capital (to Lichtenberg)
I stand amongst a thousand people all alone (in Tempelhof)
& I hope so much that I'll finally find my...
Love-love-love love in Berlin
