To raise children is difficult
Making the decisions to grow
And make changes unforeseen
That fit rigidly for life choices
For grown men it is curious
To learn the consequence of it
Pushing and pulling daily doses
To reach an equilibrium of being
Willfulness is determination
Though perhaps yet unrefined
A matter of bending to others
If it is learning for such inclined
Since life is every changing still
And fledglings must learn to fly
All must gain willfulness due
Its daily guidance, a reason why
Recall Icarus symbolized folly
That willfulness wrought demise
Soaring far too high in glory
Plunging into the sea in defeat
