In Vietnam amid the guns of war
With the thundering ground
Its shaken soil that instilled fear
Once threatened all in the land
But in the bush they were
Like tiny dinosaurs they trod
Spooking soldiers abruptly
This slow moving scaled one
But great now is their enemy
That most know not of them
The ants truly wouldn't want to
But scales and flesh betray
To make insignificance fade
There is no voice to hear
But a being lost and gone
May find a jeopardy unseen
