It is my pride to have been born in the most humble neighborhood

Away from the hustle of a fake society,

I did not have the misfortune of not being a village son

I count myself amongst people who have no insincerity.

My destiny is very similar, I want it as it comes,

enduring a sadness or going after a dream,

I go life's way, very happy with my poverty.

Since I have no money, I have a lot of heart.

A descendant of Cuauhtémoc,

Mexican by fortune,

unlucky in love, I'm a drunk and a troubador,

but how many millionaires would like to live my life,

to sing to poverty without feeling any pain.
