I was born without a culture.
I happen to live in Africa.
I happen to speak Afrikaans.
There are very few people that understand me.
I’m sneaking through the streets,
Without direction,
Without coordinates.
Scapegoat,
Addicted to mass media,
Victim of performance anxiety and…
Paranoia, paranoia!
We pray we remain sheltered,
While the devil is wrenching our window frames.
A life with paranoia, paranoia!
Africa the vampire,
Beautiful monster.
War is culture,
Human against human,
Human against nature.
Come, let’s just ignore
What’s staring us in the face.
Here we were born,
And here shall I perish.
My own death doesn’t bother me.
I’m no longer afraid of the darkness.
My heart only beats faster when it’s dark.
Victim of performance anxiety and…
Paranoia, paranoia!
We pray we remain sheltered,
While the devil is wrenching our window frames.
A life with paranoia, paranoia!
Africa the vampire,
Beautiful monster.
Africa,
Afrikaans,
Afrikaner1,
Africa the vampire,
Beautiful monster.
