It’s already past six
when she wakes up
She wears the same sweater today,
though with more tears
After cleaning a little the dust
that has settled in her home,
she cleans a little her failure
and her desire to cry
to see how her little one wakes up so happily:
“…if you knew, darling,
the day that waits for us…”
(Chorus)
And in her reality, she’ll see the city grow
and its people in their worlds will come and go
while she, in her role, will continue watching pass
one day less in her life, one day more
one day more
It was pain who gave her
advice on how to love,
to look at the heart
and never look back
But sometimes injustice
gets hold of all the control
and in the corner of Pokhara
she can see us both
I joke with my friends:
“This afternoon, drinks are on me”,
while she sees something
go dying inside her
(Chorus x2)
