Between the panes of grey and green
The seas depths deemed darker still
An altruistic creature driven amidst the waves
The humpback sing of their presence
So silently they all share moments in the deep
So nimble near to others dear
Befouled by entrapment unseen
Bearing the scars of survival
Yet from breaching to beaching
Slapping flukes and fins alike
We are so very ignorant of the depth's denizens
The guardians of the sea misunderstood
The gentle giants without malevolence
There in plane that blends the sky and the sea
Those leviathans magnanimous
