Amidst this world
The sea, the sky, the land
All hues seeming tricoloured
The blue, the grey, the white
A horizon variant, uncertain
Disorienting to newcomer
Both remote, and vague
In this polar land
Where brown and green
Are rarer still
Humanity is unseen
Landmarks are transient
The mountains distant
Hiding at times
In veils of lowered sky
Clouds that spoof us
Bergs in a sham sky
Its denizens are few
Survival in the snow
The ice is a barrier
On the brim of escape
Into an abysmal sea
Where greens mix near
Blending in depth's blue
Beneath a cloak of white
