Life's hours tick away
Some momentous and well noted
Others passing mundane sustainance
Time wasted, ungraspable
Unredeemable
The objective is to be
Not just to survive
Selfless and soluable
Not selfish and stiffened
A tree must bend in brisken breeze
Lest it break in sharded bark
It stands lifetimes in one place
Enduring all, because it has to
No cowering or quick retreat
But it gives its hallowed all
To its purpose understood
Soley bearing the weight
Of its plentiful fruit
In benevolence of others
The sun shines intently on its burrows
Yet beneath its shade is comfort
