Himmel, Arsch und Zwirn [English translation]

I want to escape, I have to get out of here

I can't stand myself anymore

I can't see it all anymore, the world should just go to hell 1

I am through, I shut myself off

I'm really getting on my own nerves 2

According to Lord, our God, we're all equal, the liar beckons the kingdom of heaven

(We are) only alive once, even if we destroy ourselves

Nobody wants to have been, I can't hear it anymore

(We are) only alive once, even if we all die miserably

Anyone can be next, we have nothing to lose

Damn it 3

This surely can't be true

Damn it

Where do we go?

Damn it

This surely can't be true

Damn it

I remember who I am

I can't do it anymore, I am tired of it

The wrong person at the wrong time

To me, nothing is true to itself anymore, my laziness makes me sick

I don't participate in anything anymore

A new strategy, a hard cut

No child believes this fairy tale, because we are so apparent and holy

(We are) only alive once, even if we destroy ourselves

Nobody wants to have been, I can't hear it anymore

(We are) only alive once, even if we all die miserably

Anyone can be next, we have nothing to lose

Damn it

This surely can't be true

Damn it

Where do we go?

Damn it

This surely can't be true

Damn it

I remember who I am

Just please leave me alone

Let me be who I am

Just please leave me alone

And do not touch me

Damn it

This surely can't be true

Damn it

Where do we go?

Damn it

This surely can't be true

Damn it

I remember who I am

1. Teufel literally means Devil/Satan.2. Interesting expression here...auf den Sack gehen literally means "to go on the sack". Sack, referring to the scrotum. Metaphorically, it means to get on one's nerves. He is getting on his own nerves, annoyed at himself.3. Literally means "sky, ass and thread". It's an archaic German expression which more or less is the equivalent to "damn it".
