Abate Cruento [English translation]

This night I had a dream structured as a matryoshka doll

I dreamt of dreaming

That an abbot, quite ferocious, after having examined me

Ordered me to wake up

I obediently obeyed him, that is, I dreamt of waking up

And I found him by my side again

With his ferocious manners, he examined me again

And I asked him, desolated:

"Tell me, abbot, why do you persist in examining me so closely?

Did I do something the abbey did not like?"

He, caught off guard, didn't know what to do

So he immediately orderd me to proceed to an awakening

Here my nightmare, long from becoming more confused, became clearer

As I went back to my true dream

Where I meet a whore, "oh, good morning!"

Says that nice big woman, comforting me

While she's getting the upper hand on me, I shout "succor me!"

Then I propose to paid in instalments

She gets angry and calls: "abbot!"

"Who's calling me?", shouts the latter, with a ferocious stride

"What a whore!" I comment, while I rotate my fingertip 1

But the abbott, more ferociously than ever, with a harsh voice

Immediately introduces me to mr. Bonaventura 2

Who, with his usual manners and his moronic dress,

Luckily gives me a one million cheque

Abbot, ferocious examiner

Questionable character in a bad dream

So many hassles I don't deserve now

So many millions of billions of troubles in one dream

Here's a recap of the story so far

Coconuts, bananas and tobacco 3

Then a cheque exchange, and he gives me one

I wake up and I'm a woman, so I think

"I'm glad, no more dreams, no more examinations

No more abbot, nor ferocious"

The room becomes bright, my fear is gone

On my side, as always, there's mr. Bonaventura

I love him so much, he's my husband

He reads my eyes

And, to distract me, flatters me with an one billion cheque

I'm a woman, and woman is love

I fall asleep reassured

While I fuck my husband's ass

What a marvelous night, what a sodimite husband

Abbot, ferocious examiner

Questionable character in a bad dream

So many hassles I don't deserve now

So many millions of billions of troubles in one dream

Abbot, ferocious examiner

Questionable character in a bad dream

1. I still can't realise what is this supposed to mean. My best guess is that they're quoting the words from one of their older song, "Pipppero".2. il signor Bonaventura ("mr. Good-chance") is the protagonist of an Italian comic strip first published in 1917, still known today because of the iconic red-and-white dress worn by the main character and because of its structure: every "adventure" of mr. Bonaventura was just one-page long, would begin with the words "here begins the adventure of mr. Bonaventura", and would always end with him receiving a reward of one million (in the form of a big white sheet of paper, with "one million" written on it, in nice, round, cursive letters).3. a reference to a 1976 song called "Oba-Ba-Luu-Ba", by Italian singer Daniela Goggi, known for its bizarre lyrics.
