that they would be counted

to the wind concerning the permanence.

Foliage and grass,

which has ever been my joy

as I'm now reaching my end,

it seems to me fashioned like that.

Also manifold flowers,

the red heathland, the green forest,

the song of the little birds has a sad end,

also the lime tree

sweet and mild.

Thus, alas world, how the headband befits you!

Holy Christ,

since you are powerful

over the commoners of the world

which are shaped after you,

give me the wisdom

so that I within short time

in the same way

find you with your chosen ones.

I was blind with seeing eyes

and a child towards everything good

in which ever way I hid my misdeed towards the world.

Make me pure forever

before my impure

soul sinks down into the lost valley.
