Undefined and shimmering

Invisible and untouchable

Contained, yet free

Infancy, the somatic beginning

Confined within body and mind

Uncoordinated, unspeaking

Learning and responding

Childhood, the comfort of form

Attaining norms and knowns

Labored by parental spirits

Right, wrong, inconsistancies

Defining those limits and results

Adulthood, the questioning, existing

Fears and concerns abounding

The purpose of surviving

Aging, depleting the body

Years to polish the being

Beyond it, there is a flow

In the slurry, the spirits

That await their reception

To mortal being's essense

Some ne're to be so again

Then, in death's gain

The soul departs its confinement

To rejoin the nebulous host
