Her smile is so brilliant, that its rays dance in her eyes
The eyes so deep that reveal kindred light of grace
When I look upon her I see no despirate lies
She is so soft and dainty as hand-wrought lace
No words can truly speak whole of her
Nor picture present the beauty possessed
Her presence it makes my heart sing and stir
My cold spirit now in her warmth carressed
Each day for her my heart grows fonder
Each second brings yet a measure more
For the present I do not then wander
Like the listless sea lapping the shore
