Why is it that men eagerly emulate acts
Roles that evoke emotions grand
That actors play roles grandeous
Filled with drama and idealisms
Those unobtainable by right
And those by society's ambitions
Made by those restricting others
That they maintain gotten gains
Defended like primates know
Star players of sport that enforce
Competition for the most elite
Yet often thwarted early by goals
Goals that ensure status elsewhere
Yet many fans live through, on
Through the feats of their idols
Transience in short careers kept
Then gone and easily replaced
By braggards living through them
Emotions rule humanity still
They in their pursuit bring rage
That steals a being's wit away
And replaces it with irrationality
Unknown in meager life confined
That is why such gain is got
By those who dare, they that pay
To live life beyond meager means
As if in competition's survival
Instincts mistaken in life's journey
And traded for safety in being
Willingly giving daily labour's gain
To imagine, to boast by association
And actors all have roles idealic
Yet in roles they never truly are
So the mystery that comes forth
Are the bounds to pretend away
That cling to aspirations dear
