In the geometry of nature
There is an analogous harmony
Even in chaos there is order
Its perception interpreted so
In the kaleidoscopic harmonies
Lie warmth and cooling hues
Their shadows and their distance
The perceptions of prospective
Too many details destroy effect
Intensity and sharpness focusing
May be near or far, or yet both
They direct the mind's eye there
Blurred things are thus in tension
Depicting movement, or distance
Rendering their true significance
Their movement in dynamic flux
The stilled are sharp and strong
Differences in reciprocal vortices
The mirrors of water reflecting
Become the depths directly seen
Backlighting creates reflections
Forelighting pierces deep within
Penetrating dense visual noise
Its overlapping spectral lighting
The exaggerations of romanticism
Its luminosity accenting attention
Give delineation and continuity
To the eye's own intuitive shown
The tremulous values of colour
Through the mists of ambiguity
Grant filigreous perceptions viewed
That sparkle to the glory of God
