Though they often meet
Not always, eye to eye
At times crossing swords
Scales left unbalanced
Law must be fully taught
Educated in society's hold
Far distant, preventative
Looming, but for infringing
Justice is learned, invisible
Experience the sage's tutor
Tempered by injustice's grasp
Empathy for the treated unfair
It must know its place near
Along all men, equally shared
Lest any less would then render
Justice and law become unjust
