Who but men would assign
Absolution by colour alone
To simplify law's process
And topple justice's scales
A sightless soul could stand
In judgment unbiased truth
That men who live by law
Could betray society's role
Violence wrought predetermined
Is a bastard of fair impatiality
That applies a sentence ahead
For crimes borne of others
Where is colour in the law
That it merits exception
For due process is for all
Even with bloodied hands
What is a crime greater..
To take unwarranted action
Upon the criminal instead
Or upon innocents many
From wrong comes wrong
A fire of ignorance consuming
And all before it are rendered
That ashes give equity to none
Societies are destroyed within
By those who would forget
That everyone must live on
And realize good and bad
All men live securely in law
Without it, there is calamity
The colour and stench found
Ashen grey remains humanistic
