In the vows of marriage until death do you part
Always remaining faithful in life with but one heart
But beware a pact upon the death bed so dear
The mistaken words uttered so often we hear
Do not marry again nor violate my trust
Think not of love let the heart's hinges rust
Suffer alone the rest of your days that reign
To wake each day empty in somber pain
Why must one live in misery for another's selfishness
It blinds the sharing and caring of love's rightousness
If one must leave the other must go onward
As the day turns to night we must go forward
Perhaps it would be better to perish as well
Than to stand still, alone to exist in earthly hell.
